What Damage Does Anger Do To Your Body?

By Andy D Gallagher

Anger is a state of mind when a person loses its senses that lead to awful consequences. It is harmful in all cases. Ethically and medically, anger is bad. There has been increased awareness in people about anger management in recent times. No matter how hard you do exercise, and how good you eat, you cannot make up the damage you do to your body when you are angry.

In anger, your body has to go through severe negative effects. There are different physical signs associated with anger. In anger, the blood pressure shoots up very quickly. Some people grind, and clench their teeth in anger. The muscles tend to get stiff. Many people feel chest pains, sweating and chills. Headaches and migraines are also very common in many people.

Chronic anger is very problematic, and the people who go through to this state may have medical problems like ulcer, indigestion, constipation, and intestinal cramps. These are some mild effects of anger, and in extreme conditions, the person can have heart attack, or kidney failure.

Medical research tells us that anger affects directly to heart muscles. Those people, who remain angry most of the time, are more likely to become victim of heart attacks because the weak muscles do not work well to pump blood. The angriest people always have cardiac problems, and high blood pressure.

Whether it is undeveloped anger, or not, it tends to damage a person even if the ways are diverse. Long-lasting anger can have a terrible consequence on the skin. Research has shown that the people who restrain their anger on diverse occasions are probable to have skin diseases like eczema, rashes as well as acne. When it comes to skin health, the resolution of anger is the healthier way, as the skin disorders tend to recover when people determine their anger.

Besides having the obvious consequences, concealed anger also has a psychological effect. When one suppresses anger, it may direct to despair, insomnia as well as nightmares. In adding up, it can also cause consumption disorders, and can cause obsession to drugs, or alcohol. In some cases, all these symptoms can show the way to self-destructive behaviour. These things can unfavourably influence the way people interrelate, and communicate to each other.

What happens to our body when we become angry? In anger, our body releases chemicals and hormones. Adrenaline and non-adrenaline are two hormones, which affect the body organs. Adrenaline hormones affect the sympathetic nervous system. In turn, the heart is stimulated, and coronary vessels become dilated. Due to this reason, the blood vessels, and intestines become narrow, and it affects the digestion.

In order to encourage an affirmative thinking as well as preserve good healthiness, it is imperative for people facing excessive anger issues to get assist with anger management, and find some imaginative outlet for letting out the annoyance, so that it does not damage their physical condition in ways that can be hazardous. - 32509

What Can Facilitate Me To Recover My Self Esteem

By Andy D Gallagher

No I am sorry! I suppose I would not be competent to do this oration. You might have heard this type of sentences in your each day life. For the most part of the people who say this require self-reliance. You have to value yourself, and prove others that you are able of doing any type of work.

First, let us be taught about the word self-esteem. As you can identify that the word esteem means how you sense about something, or how admirable, or important you think it is, self-esteem means how much we experience esteemed, treasured, acknowledged, and are considered well of by other people.

Well, self-esteem can be smashed when someone, whose acceptance is vital, constantly puts you down. This thought is normally seen in children when they are neglected or are given negative criticism about their work or any other activity. When many negative inner voices and outside criticism get together, they normally harm self-esteem.

When we take the weight off your feet alone, we normally analyse ourselves, and strive to depict a picture of whom we are, in our thoughts. We usually are trying to find an approach to trounce our weaknesses, and we widen this picture since our early days. Impractical outlook can also be the cause for low self-esteem. Now, the point to consider is that how can we have a strong self-esteem. It is not permanent for life because opinion of you changes over time. As a result, there is always some stifle for enhancement. Unfortunately, people who have low self-esteem customarily do have the intrinsic worth they admire.

It might feel tacky, but feeling good about what you are is the easiest way to conquer this difficulty. When you start realising the fact that you can do much better than others do, you steadily start feeling self-confidence in yourself. Having the tendency of adapting new circumstances, or standing against hard state of affairs leaves a very optimistic impact in your life.

You can progress your self-esteem by staying hassle-free, and thinking confidently. Try to make a record of your fine things as well as a few negative points in yourself. Share and converse these points with your parents, or the individual who is very near to you. Try to commemorate your trivial progresses as well. Always try to put yourself at the lead; it will inspire you to do the finest.

You can improve your self-esteem by staying relaxed and thinking positively. Try to make an inventory of your good things and also few negative points in yourself. Share and discuss these points with your parents or the person who is very near to you. Try to celebrate your minor progresses as well. Always try to put yourself at the front; it will motivate you to do the best.

Doing exercise daily relieves stress and makes you healthier and happier. It is never too late to put up healthy as well as positive self-esteem. In some cases, where one is emotionally hurt, the help of a mental health professional can be taken, like that of a counsellor or therapist. These professionals can act as a guide, helping people learn to love themselves and realize what is unique and special about them.

On the other hand, a prudent person never repeats them. This all becomes achievable when you have audacity and self-reliance in yourself; however, over-confidence leads you to the wrong path. - 32509

First Step In NLP

By Landon Rivera

There are two basic principals of beginning to work with Neuro-Linguistic Programming which can greatly improve a person's life by teaching them how to control their emotional reactions, move further in their career and improve behavioral problems. This powerful, fast and effective method of psychotherapy - called NLP for short - can assist a person on their journey to a happy, more fulfilled life.

The first step, though, is deciding that you are ready to change. Without a willingness to accept that many of your problems are caused by the way you think, you are going to get limited use out of NLP therapy. NLP seeks to help you change, but if you are unreceptive to the ideas and methodology behind it, there is little anyone can do. The change first starts with you.

Set Goals:

The first step in NLP therapy is to set achievable goals keeping in mind exactly what you hope to accomplish. Don't be vague. Wanting to improve your life isn't the answer you're looking for you. You have to know exactly what you need to improve your life - what needs to change, what needs to stay the same, what needs to be added and what needs to be removed are all questions you need to ask yourself at this time. For this reason, setting goals may take longer and be more involved than you expected, but it is necessary if you want to see real results.

When you have answered the questions posed above it is time to state your goals. Leave the negativity at the door here. Phrase your goals in a positive way. You almost must be able to see, hear, feel, taste or touch the results. In other words, you must be able to have tangible results. This way you can test your results and physically experience your achievements. Make this easier by visualizing your results as you set your goals. Imagine all aspects of that goal and achieving it. You also have to be responsible for keeping track of your results yourself. This is important because you don't want your progress to depend on someone else. Also be sure the result does not limit you in any way. The goal of NLP is opening yourself up to choice and option. Do not set a goal that robs you of either of those things.

Awareness

Awareness is of vital importance. Setting a goal is of little help if you can't tell whether or not you progressing. You have to be able to see the progress in yourself but also, be able to read your progress in the people you interact with. Read them carefully for their reaction to you and watch to see if it is changing as it should be. You should be able to see positive changes in the way they interact with you. The great thing about NLP is it shows you how to do that as well. - 32509

Understand The Basics Of NLP

By Juan Reed

Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP) is a form of psychotherapy that focuses on the subconscious reasons for a patient's disorders - from depression to habit disorders and phobias. It was developed in the early 1970s based on the idea that there is a strong connection between internal thoughts and dialogue - beliefs and values - and external behavior and the general quality of a person's life.

To really understand the basics of NLP, one need look no further than the title - Neuro, of the brain, Linguistic, pertaining to language and speech, and programming, trained thoughts or behaviors programmed into our minds. These programs affect every part of our life and we need to correct those programs to make positive changes in our lives.

Neuro-Linguistic Programming began with the belief that there are certain trigger words and phrases a therapist can recognize in a patients speech to help effect change in a patients behavior. NLP practitioners believe that by helping to identify these words and phrases, they can help 'deprogram' patients by testing the deletions, distortions and generalizations in a patients responses. When a patient gives an NLP practitioner an answer that relies on generalizations - such as, "I feel depressed" - instead of a full answer - "I feel depressed because" - the practitioner recognized this and challenges it with targeted questioning - "Why specifically do you feel depressed?" "What happened to make you feel depressed?" "When did you start feeling depressed?" These target questions are designed to break through the patients' mental blocks and allow them to see the real problem clearly - to realize it, and then change it. These mental blocks are at the core of the NLP methodology.

By breaking through those self-imposed mental blocks, NLP helps both the practitioner and the patient have a deeper understanding of the root cause of the problem - in this case, depression. People naturally build these mental blocks through past experiences, beliefs and values that have developed over time. For this reason, it can be difficult to get through them as they mind seeks to protect them using the language we use and the words we use to respond to challenging questions. That is the reason we are more likely to say "I feel depressed" or "I am depressed" as opposed to choosing an answer that tells the listener why we are feeling that way.

NLP practitioners can identify the problem with the targeted questions we discussed earlier and isolate the program that is causing the feeling. Sometimes there is a specific trigger. What that trigger is will be different for different people. The goal in NLP is to uncover that trigger and use anchoring, perceptual positions, reframing, representational systems or sub-modalities to change the way the patient reacts to that trigger. - 32509

Understanding What NLP Is

By Brian Richardson

The benefits of Neuro-Linguistic Programming for anyone who suffers from a phobia can be life changing. Effective and powerful, NLP can help you not only overcome the phobia but also help you uncover the root of the phobia and understand why it existed in the first place. To really understand why NLP is effective, you much first understand what NLP is.

NLP is a form of psychotherapy that can benefit anyone who seeks it in ways far beyond overcoming phobias. It can help with shyness, depression, habit or learning disorders, psychosomatic illnesses and help you live a fuller, happier life. Because it doesn't settle for treating symptoms, NLP exposes the cause of the disorder and corrects it providing long lasting results that other forms of therapy can't.

NLP practitioners actively listen to your answers to questions targeted at uncovering the root of your phobia. They will look for clues and tips as to what experience in the past has led your phobia to take hold. Often times, this is a memory of something deeply suppressed in your mind. In order to make any real progress you have to be willing to look into your subconscious and let that come out so it can be changed.

After the root cause is uncovered, it's time to look at the trigger itself. The trigger is that which the phobia centers around - spiders, snakes, dogs, the dark or people to name just a few possible triggers. For the purpose of this article, we'll say your phobia is of dogs. The cause of that fear is likely a traumatic event that happened when you were too young to remember or had the fear of dogs instilled in you by a parent or guardian who had the same fear. These memories take seed in our subconscious minds - becoming similar to programs - and turn into phobias.

Now you've discovered your phobia of dogs comes from an early memory your brain is conjuring up - even though you're not aware of it - when you see or hear dogs. This is happening because to that negative program, Factor A (the dog) plus Factor B (you) equals Outcome C (the dog is going to bite you or maul you or something of that nature in most dog phobias). The problem with that is, A plus B doesn't always equal C. What needs to be done here, is a reformatting of that program.

The NLP practitioner will work with you to help anchor the trigger - dogs - with a more pleasant association. Instead of that negative programmed memory making you feel fear and panic, the sight of dogs will be reprogrammed to bring to mind a calming tone of voice, a color that makes you relax or a place you find comforting. You may never love dogs enough to own one, but you may just be able to brush one when you visit a friend with a pooch of their own. - 32509

NLP To Over Negative Emotions

By Luis Murphy

Anchoring is one of the fundamental methods in Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP) - a powerful psychotherapy technique that seeks to improve a person's life by helping them over come negative thinking and self-limiting thoughts and feelings. Anchoring helps the patient master their emotions and overcome self-defeating behavior. Because it focuses on the root cause of the problem, rather than just seeking to treat the symptoms, NLP and anchoring are a long term solution. All you need is the desire to change and the desire to improve.

Emotions and emotional reactions are all caused by something - and that something is called a trigger. Before you can be in control of those reactions you must identify what that trigger is. It will be different for everyone. When seeing an NLP practitioner, the first thing they will do is help you identify your trigger by asking you targeted questions and carefully listening to your responses. They will be looking for key words and phrases and will then ask deeper questions until the trigger is exposed. From there, they will begin helping you anchor that trigger so you will no longer have a negative reaction to it.

The trigger stirs an emotional response from memory. A painful trigger is attached to a painful memory. A happy trigger is attached to a happy memory. When you are experiencing an inappropriate emotional reaction to a trigger - getting angry when you encounter a certain trigger and being unable to control that anger - it is important to anchor it to something else.

In anchoring a trigger, we are changing what emotion is attached to it. An NLP practitioner is likely to use therapy to anchor a trigger than makes you angry to something you feel neutral about. It is likely not appropriate to attach a trigger that makes you feel angry to something that makes you feel happy as that would create a completely different type of inappropriate reaction. For that reason, a neutral reaction is more desired - perhaps choosing something that offers a calming an effect to the patient.

Many anchoring techniques utilize visualization as a beginning point. The patient is made to visual what makes them angry and then visualize the thing that makes them feel calm. It's important to think of nothing but those two things, being careful not to allow the negative emotion - rage, in this case - to attach to the calming device. In time, the trigger will automatically be associated with calm instead of rage. - 32509

Using NLP To Reduce Stress

By Owen Bailey

Although there are wide ranging applications for the methodology of Neuro-Linguistic Programming, one of the most commonly utilized purposes for NLP in today's society is in the field of marketing and business. More and more managers, advertising executives and CEOs are using NLP to reduce the stress in their own lives and help their employees manage stress, achieve goals and communicate more effectively.

NLP is especially useful in a competitive field where you have to excel to advance. Since NLP can help you not only improve your communication skills but also feel more confident and more capable - therefore willing to take more chances. Even if you aren't rewarded with that promotion, NLP also helps you take away the positive aspects of being passed over - learning how you can improve and better communicate your desires - and leave behind the negative aspects like hurt feelings and disappointment.

When two people communicate, there are all sorts of hidden signals sent out on both sides. These signals are sent via body language, mannerisms, the way you speak words, the tone of voice you use - all of these things can sometimes speak louder than the actual words themselves. If you are at a job interview and your body language is saying you are unprepared and unconfident you are likely not going to get the job. That nervous body language is created in your mind. NLP can help uncover what is causing that insecurity and eliminate it. By doing so, at your next interview you will have confident, prepared body language and have a much better chance of getting the job.

NLP teaches the value of being able to adapt to different social situations so you will be prepared for any scenario. By simply adjusting your posture, tone of voice and body language to match that of the person you're talking to you build a sort of connection with them. You are better able to find common ground because they will feel like they are speaking with an equal rather than someone below or above them.

NLP also helps remove the self-defeating thoughts each of us has so that we are better able to reach our fullest potential. By freeing ourselves of the thoughts that tells us we can't achieve a goal, suddenly, we are telling ourselves that we can. Believing we can makes us work harder and strive to reach the goal that once seemed unattainable. That confidence makes all the difference in the world of business and in life in general.

NLP is a great tool for anyone to utilize to live their life to the fullest and improve every aspect of their life. - 32509

The Theory Behind NLP

By Charles Cook

The Name

Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP) is a method of psychotherapy that got its name directly from the fundamental ideas behind the theory: Neuro - relating to nerves or the brain, Linguistic - relating to language, Programming - software or controls that run a computer.

The Goal

NLP aims to help patients overcome many personal problems related to programs in their mind that prevent them from reaching their full potential. The overall goal is to help greatly improve the patient's life by uncovering the root causes of the things that are holding them back and reprogram their minds in a positive way.

The Theory

It is believed that each person has a set of programs instilled in their minds based on past experiences, beliefs and learned behaviors. For this reason, the two definitions of the word programming mentioned in section one are appropriate.

It's easy to see the analogy between the human brain and the computer. Both take input in the form of data and process it into something understandable. This is a hard task for the human brain due to the sheer volume of data that is thrown at it every second. Sights, sounds, feelings, tastes, smells are all delivered through our five senses at a steady rate and the brain has to try to make sense of it all. To do this efficiently, it deletes and changes much of this information. It makes assumptions about other information. If 'Factor A' is present and 'Factor B' is present than 'Outcome C' is going to happen. Here we get the basis of the program.

The theory behind NLP is that these programs can easily become corrupted - much like a bad program on your computer. If these programs are corrupt, your brain will have trouble processing new information. This hinges on the fact that 'Factor A' plus 'Factor B' will not always equal 'Option C' as the program would have you believe.

Because the program in your mind is telling you that 'Option C' will happen you are going to react to 'Factor A' and 'Factor B' on an assumption. If this assumption is wrong and you react negatively anyway, this can have extreme consequences and that is exactly what NLP seeks to correct.

NLP also teaches that many individuals stand in the way of their own success because of these programs. Self-limiting thoughts are a cornerstone of the methodologies of NLP. If a person allows these programs to tell them something isn't possible - that pursing that promotion or talking to the person they're attracted to will lead to failure - the person is much less likely to attempt to achieve their goal.

The Applications

Keeping in mind what we've just discussed, the benefits offered by NLP are obvious and wide ranging. Some of the possible problems that NLP can help patients overcome include:

* Learning disabilities * Psychosomatic illnesses * Habit disorders * Depression * Anger * Phobias * Shyness * Communication problems * Poor self-esteem or self-image * Self-limiting thoughts

The Final Thought

NLP is an extremely beneficial tool, readily available for anyone choosing to pursue it. - 32509

Hypnosis Techniques and Patience

By Dr. Anthony Taylor

The power of hypnosis uses the art of suggestion to influence the behaviors and thoughts of other people. But this doesn't guarantee you will obtain any results right away. Understanding this potent and simple fact separates the advanced hypnotist from the novice hypnotist.

You can see immediate results when you persuasion peoples' conscious minds. However, if the type of persuasion you are practicing involves the art of influencing people's unconscious mind, then you will need to be long-suffering and let the seeds you are planting in someone's mind enough time to take root and grow.

In hypnosis, this is referred to as seeding of suggestion. . However, a very important thing to keep in mind about the process of seeding suggestions is that you should not over water your seeds so that you end up interfering with your own suggestions.

What this means is that after you plant your suggestions, you must water them and them leave them alone so the can grow. It takes time to persuade people on unconsciously levels, because their conscious mind will need time to catch up with their unconscious mind. Nevertheless, it will happen exactly as you planned, and the reason why you know this is because you went through the process of installing the suggestions into their mind. All you need to do afterward is wait.

Without doubt, one of the core hypnotic secrets is that there is a gap between suggesting and actually experiencing the rewards of what you are suggesting. A lot of beginners who don't understand the element of time end up giving up because they don't feel they are getting results quick enough. However, if you can be patient with people, you will develop the ability to have power over their minds completely. - 32509

This Is Why Learning Persuasion Can Get You More Money and Love

By George Hutton

We humans have a lot going for us. We can walk on two legs, do interesting things with our opposing thumbs, and even peel a banana. One thing that we have that is most special is the size of our brains, compared to our body size.

Some argue it was because of our use of tools. Some say it was because we lived in so many different environments that we had to learn to be creative, and that required lots of computing power. A growing number are starting to agree it was our need for language that drove our increase in brain size.

That then begs the question, why did humans develop a need for a rich and detailed spoken language? Every other animal on earth does just fine without it. Why are we so special?

One way to think about this is to look at language as a tool. When we think of it this way, it helps us to understand what we use it for.

Most will say we use language to convey information, details, data. A pure stream of information. But is that really the case? Do we merely to exchange data with each other like so many computers?

Lately, many psychologists have started to wonder if language is really meant to be used to persuade others. To get others to go along with us. To convince our buddy to throw his spear at the mammoth, and risk getting him in trouble, rather than us.

If you remember crying when you were younger, wasn't that the most basic tool of manipulation? To try and get a parent or adult to come over and pick you up and take care of you?

When you see language from this angle, you can begin to understand that the underlying reason behind all communication is to manipulate and persuade others. Whenever you are talking to somebody, you'd like your words to cause them to think or do something that would benefit you.

So it naturally follows that if you are going to persuade somebody, you'd better get pretty good at it. With all these people walking around trying to persuade each other into their own way of thinking, you may as well learn how to get the upper hand.

The best way to do this is to frame everything in terms of what you want. Convince the other person that by doing what you want, they will get what they want. This is the oldest form, and the most commonly used form of persuasion in advertising today.

This means actually building up a kind of relationship with them, no matter how short lived. When you approach this from a win-win situation, you can't go wrong, and the world will be in the palm of your hand. - 32509

Effective Form Of Psychotherapy

By Isaiah Phillips

Neuro-linguistic programming (NLP) is a method of psychotherapy first promoted in the 1970s based on the idea that a person can greatly improve their quality of life by changing their mental and emotional behavior.

NLP seeks to show patients the importance of self-awareness and communication so they can recognize patterns of behavior that may be adversely effecting their life in ways they may not have considered. It seeks to expose the relationship between patterns of thought and patterns of behavior so the reasons behind those thoughts can be explored.

NLP is based on the theory that most mental disorders often diagnosed by mainstream psychotherapy and then treated with medications are in actuality self-conceived problems. Plainly put, NLP is based on the theory that things previously believed to be out of a patients control are in fact, caused by the way the patient is thinking.

NLP is thought to be able to help patients with a wide-range of conditions including depression, learning disorders, phobias, psychosomatic illnesses and habit disorders. The belief is that these things are learned behaviors, programmed by parents, teachers, friends and even the patient.

While remaining more or less ignored by social sciences and mainstream psychotherapy, NLP has been adopted as a focal point in many private practices and by many hypnotherapists. There is little scientific data to back up the claims of results, but it is still a theory popular in the self-help, life coaching and management training fields.

Beyond the obvious therapeutic applications for NLP, the method has been gaining popularity in the business world because it can greatly improve interpersonal communication skill. This is an invaluable benefit for anyone looking to negotiate a deal or get a promotion.

A key focus of NLP therapy is to build achievable life goals and help the patient work toward them, with importance being placed on the word achievable. The method works with the patient's capabilities and does not seek to have them attempt more than they can handle or accomplish.

NLP claims to be a fast and effective form of psychotherapy that can help patients overcome limitations they have either set on themselves or been taught to set on themselves. Again, although there is little scientific evidence backing up this method, many practitioners swear by it - touting quick results in many forms or mental disorder. Whether or not it is truly effective remains to be seen, but it is an alternative for anyone who has limited success with other forms of therapy and does not want to take medication for a mental illness they are not convinced they have. - 32509

Major Focus of NLP

By Ethan Brown

Neuro-Linguistic Programming is a form of psychotherapy that seeks to help patients have a better understanding of themselves and change negative thought patterns that lead to negative behaviors. Neuro-Linguistic Programming, or NLP, operates around the core principal that every person has subconscious programming in their mind that causes the person to react to certain stimulus in certain ways. By changing this programming, NLP practitioners believe they are able to turn negative reactions to positive ones. All it takes is a change in perspective.

NLP practitioners don't try to treat the symptoms of the surface of negative behaviors or mental disorders, but rather find the root cause of the problem and remedy that. NLP practitioners listen carefully to what patients say to identify any subconscious clues the patient is giving as to the true nature of the problem. NLP practitioners ask targeted questions so not to allow the patient to use deletion or omission when answering questions. By doing this, NLP practitioners are better able to explore the patient's subconscious and identify problems.

The major focus of NLP is to help people have a greater self-awareness and understand that most of the limitations they see as being part of their life are in actuality only a matter of perception. By eliminating self-defeating, self-limiting and negative thoughts, NLP can open the mind to see the bigger picture. By promoting healthy inner dialogue NLP can help you realize that the biggest problem with trying to reach a goal is telling yourself that you can't.

NLP also arms you with the tools you need to more effectively communicate. This is a great asset to anyone in a field that requires they deal with the public on a regular basis. By learning how to read people - one of the fundamental teachings of NLP - you are better able to judge whether or not the person you are speaking to is not just hearing your words, but understands the meaning behind them. NLP also teaches you how to adjust your posture, body language and tone of voice to better fit the situation you're in. By adjusting these things to match the person you're conversing with, you create a sort of connection that helps them not only understand you better but also helps make them feel you are understanding them as well.

NLP can also be used to help a wide variety of mental disorders such as habit disorders, learning disabilities, phobias and even depression. Teachers are employing the methodology behind NLP to help their students feel more confident and overcome learning disabilities.

Your Further Understanding NLP

By Matthew Jones

Neuro-Linguistic Programming, or NLP, teaches us that most of the limitation we face in life are in fact, limitations we set for ourselves. Instead of seeing opportunities as within our grasp that we can strive to achieve, we instead see these things are being out of reach. These self-limiting and self-defeating thoughts hold us back and prevent us from making the most of the chances presented to us. We don't live our lives to the fullest extent of our potential because we block ourselves from achieving our goals before we can even begin to try to accomplish them. NLP hopes to change that.

One of the most important lessons taught by NLP is how to be more self aware. By opening our eyes to who we really are and why we really do what we do, we are able to change negative behavior patterns and eliminate the obstacles we place in our own way. NLP teaches the importance of positive self dialogue. Everyone talks to themselves - whether or not they're willing to admit it. This is completely normal. Unfortunately, most of this self-talk is negative and self-defeating. We well ourselves we can't do something when we should instead be telling ourselves we can. The road to a happier life begins with allowing ourselves to believe we deserve it.

Because NLP focuses so much on personal improvement by working with inner dialogue and personal perception, it has become a favorite method of life coaches and those in the self-help industry. NLP is also gaining popularity in the business world as one of the fundamentals of NLP methodology is more effective communication. That makes NLP invaluable to business executives - especially those in marketing.

By working with NLP, people can learn how to recognize a wider range of opportunities available to them because those self-limiting thoughts are eliminated. Instead of looking at a job and thinking there is no possible way you could get it, you are told to think, at the very least it is worth applying. With the added benefit of better communication skills, you do better in job interviews.

NLP also teaches you the valuable skill of adaptation and heightened awareness. You are able to better read people and see if you are getting the reaction from them that you desire. If your goal is to have someone understand what you're saying as opposed to just hear what you're saying, you can watch for their body language and judge decide whether or not your goal is being accomplished. If you're not getting the response you desire, NLP teaches you how to adjust your behavior - your language, your body language - and to adapt to the situation to achieve the desired response. - 32509
